The antenna is a wideband monopole whip, primarily intended for use with portable and handheld radio’s in VHF/UHF frequency range from 90 to 512MHz.

Electrically the antenna is optimized for use in conditions such as radio in hand or at the side. It has a heatsink for thermal management.
